DACAD Writing ContestSteam lazily rose through the winter air from the pool of blood gathering on the snow. A middle aged man lay sprawled on the white ground, rivulets of blood dribbling down his skin. Thera quietly watched him, noting that his eyes had glassed over like a dead fish. Truly, with the spattered blood and pinched features of his face, he really resembled a red herring. The thought made her smile darkly. Too bad she did not favor human meat.
